As a LTC manager, you know that turnover of direct care workers (such as personal care workers, nursing assistants, bath aides, restorative aides, and home health aides) in North Carolina has become a pressing issue. This online turnover calculator can help you calculate the overall turnover rate (or separation rate) for your organization.
The turnover rate is the number of direct care workers who left over a 12 month period divided by the average number of individuals who were working as direct care workers during the same period. For instance, if you have a turnover rate of 100% and employ 20 aides, it means that you will hire 20 new aides per year. Given the expense of turnover both financially and in terms of continuity of care, it is in your interest to keep track of your turnover rates as well as work toward lowering them.
